Join us as Meredith England, Architectural Solutions Manager for CertainTeed, discusses product life cycle publications such as LCA (Life Cycle Assessments), PCR (Product Category Rules), and EPD (Environmental Product Declarations).

These publications describe environmental concepts and how these concepts may be of value to architectural firms and building owners pursuing LEED certification.

Course Objectives:

  • Explain how publications such as: product Life Cycle Assessment, Environmental Product Declarations and the Product Category Rules are tools to elevate environmental impacts, select the best resources, and promote LEED certification for building owners.
  • Review how Environmental Product Declarations and other certifications contribute to minimal environmental impacts during product selection and contribute to sustainable design.
  • Describe how sustainable design practices and product selection contribute to realizing minimal impacts to the environment during the manufacturing process.
