Come join the USGBC Colorado Southern Branch for an afternoon tour of the Colorado State University Pueblo Library! The library achieved LEED Platinum certification in 2013 for the inventive use of energy saving, air conditioning and lighting systems along with the extensive use of recycled materials.

Join members of the project team and CSU Pueblo faculty on an expert guided green building tour. Students in the current LEED Lab at CSU are pursing LEED O+M certification in V4 for the library.

This event has been approved for 1 GBCI credit.

Learning objectives

  1. Discuss the importance of sustainable materials throughout a building.
  2. Learn inventive and innovative use of recycled materials
  3. Analyze sustainable lighting and water saving systems.
  4. Discuss the use of an existing building to achieve LEED Platinum.
