The monsoon season has officially arrived, and as desert dwellers, we glory in the downpours. Even so, we want an hour and a half of dry skies on July 21 from 5:30-7 p.m. Why? So we can sit on the patio at the Sonoran Branch's Monsoon Mixer.
Rain or shine, please come out to meet USGBC Arizona members and other community members who are interested in green building.
Staff members and volunteers of the Watershed Management Group also will be attending the Monsoon Mixer. WMG is a Tucson-based organization that works in the Phoenix valley and throughout southern Arizona to develop healthy, community-based relationships between people and the environment. So this evening will be a special opportunity to mix, mingle and talk about developing desert ecosystems and advocating for water issues as well as promoting green building.
For the evening's light entertainment, attendees can bring a vinyl record (only one per person), and the first three people who arrive album in hand can have one side of their record played in the Tucson Hop Shop. Please bring a favorite album that your green compatriots can enjoy over great conversation.
Feel free to bring any appetizers or snacks (except popcorn) to share, too. The Hop Shop sells popcorn. Beverages are available for purchase.
Please contact Michael Peel at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information about the event or the Sonoran Branch.
