Join USGBC Colorado Southern Branch members on Thursday, July 14 for a bike ride hosted by Triple S Brewing Company.

Bring your own bike, and ride along the Legacy Loop; the trailhead is two blocks east of Triple S Brewing Company. The event's official start is at 6 p.m., and a special fundraiser will begin at 7 p.m. Grass It Up also will be playing, and tickets are $25. All riders can get their first pint for $2.

Participants must sign a waiver before the event begins.

About the ride

The ride is approximately nine miles on the Legacy Loop, starting and ending at Triple S Brewing.

The full ride should take about a hour and is mostly flat with one hill, with a mix of gravel and pavement. Riders should bring their water and repair kit. There is excellent cellphone coverage throughout the route.

Visit Triple S Brewing Company's website for more information.

Why the bike ride?

The purpose of the ride is to help promote biking in Colorado Springs. Our founding fathers built the Legacy Loop into the city plan as a recreational loop around downtown. The City of Colorado Springs recently received a $1 million grant to improve the loop and make it what it was intended to be.
