With more 20 LEED certified buildings on their campus, Elon University is a leader in green building in North Carolina.

The Department of Education recently awarded Elon with the 2016 Green Ribbon Award, making it the first college/university in North Carolina to receive the honor. Elon's campus initiatives for sustainability encompass transportation, water use and reduction, food services, purchasing, landscaping, technology and energy use.

Learn about Elon's initiatives during a presentation by Director of Sustainability Elaine Durr, and then join us for a tour of Martha S. and Carl H. Lindner III Hall, the university's first LEED Building (certified LEED Gold).

The Lakeside Meeting Room is in the Lakeside Dining Hall, which is connected to the Moseley Center. Attendees may park in the McMichael or Oaks parking lots.
