How do I join the USGBC faculty?
Answer
As the green building movement gains momentum, so does our need for qualified and motivated USGBC faculty. There are two types of USGBC faculty: LEED faculty and Green Rater faculty.
LEED faculty teach public and private workshops about LEED rating systems and are compensated for their time, travel and expertise. Green Rater faculty do much the same for the same, but their expertise is training inspectors to become Green Raters, the professionals who provide verification services on LEED for Home projects.
USGBC faculty sign an annual contract, which costs $1,000 and allows them to instruct USGBC workshop curriculum worldwide. Compensation averages around $1,450 a day (plus a travel stipend).
Eligibility requirements vary with faculty type.
