How does voting work?
Answer
Voting is open to every person who has a usgbc.org site user account and is connected to his/her organization's membership. Each vote cast under the same member number counts as a percentage of the single, aggregate vote allotted to each participating member organization.
The election ballot contains a write-in function whereby voters have the option to write in a name of their choosing instead of selecting one of the candidate names on the ballot. In the event that an individual's name was written in by enough members to win the election, the Nominating Working Group of the Governance Committee would first review this individual against the published criteria which the official candidates had met.
