Promoting your project
Your building has earned LEED certification. Now what?
Take advantage of resources to promote your projects.
LEED Online, LEED Project Directory and GBIG
To have your project displayed in LEED Online, in the LEED Project Directory and in GBIG make sure to mark the project as “Non-confidential” in LEED Online.
LEED Certificates
LEED-certified projects are eligible to receive ten 11”x14” certificates and a formal letter of certification free of charge. Additional copies are available for a fee.
- Go to greenplaque.com
- Provide the following:
- Project ID number (8-10 digits)
- Project name as it should be printed on the certificate
- Name and address to appear on the formal letter of certification (usually project owner)
- Shipping address for delivery (no PO boxes)
LEED Plaques
LEED Plaques and other customized materials are available to all certified projects. Project teams may purchase plaques for a fee.

- Shipping address for delivery (no PO boxes)
Project teams may also request the LEED certification mark artwork to create a custom application of the logo. Request the artwork by emailing [email protected].
Public Relations
Access public relations guidelines to help you publicize your certification and honor the project team that made your certification possible. The guidelines are available in the certification acceptance email received from LEED Online.The guidelines include:
- Certification ceremony or plaque presentation request information
- Sample press releases and quotes from USGBC's CEO
- Project photo submittal forms
