Vote Now – Malcolm Lewis IMPACT! Award
Thanks to its dedicated volunteers, who contributed 500,000 hours to the green building movement in 2012 alone, USGBC continues to advance a healthier, more sustainable and prosperous built environment in communities across the globe. You now have the chance to choose which volunteer-driven project had the highest impact this year. The winner will be given the prestigious Malcolm Lewis IMPACT! Award that recognizes the contributions of volunteers to USGBC’s vision of green buildings for all within this generation.
Vote on Facebook by liking the project you feel best captures the spirit of USGBC. The project with the most likes by November 19 will be formally recognized at the Greenbuild 2013 Leadership Awards Luncheon.
This award honors Malcolm Lewis, Ph.D., the founder of Constructive Technologies Group, who served on USGBC’s Board and chaired its Technical and Scientific Advisory Committee. Drawn to high performance buildings in the early 1970s, Malcolm spent the next 30 years engaged in making an impact in the green building movement. Geoff Lewis, Malcolm’s son, said, “USGBC got off the ground on the back of volunteers. Green building experts, giving their time, built this organization. Now USGBC is making a huge impact and showing that a dedicated group of people can make a difference.”
Take a look at the impact that green building leaders are having! Then, share and promote to let everyone know how passionate volunteers are honoring Malcolm’s contributions.
