The Building Life Cycle Information Group (BLCI Group, LLC) enables building owners to maximize the market value, operating revenue, and operational performance of their real property assets. BLCI’s unique approach—at once detailed and holistic, tactical and strategic—enables us to leverage all available resources—people, information, technology—to streamline an owner’s business operations and improve the bottom line.
BLCI's approach is unique in the industry: we begin by identifying and evaluating an owner's existing staff resources, information resources, and software license assets. We then performs a “gap analysis” to identify any additional resources that may be needed to meet the building owner’s strategic goals. Only then do we develop a strategic implementation plan.
By first leveraging existing, under-utilized resources—an often overlooked first step—the cost and time needed to implement true building life cycle information management is significantly reduced. Many building owners already have most—if not all—of the resources they need to compile, maintain, and use reliable building information for building operations, maintenance, on-going capital improvements, construction of new facilities, and strategic real estate portfolio management. But all too often, a critical link in the chain may be missing that prevents owners from making full use of those resources.
The BLCI team has over 30 years of experience in architecture, engineering, and construction, supplemented by years of research into and the application of business process mapping (BPM) to the building industry. As a result, we have developed a profound understanding of building owners’ business needs and the strategic approach needed to address those needs.
