Contects-Consultants & Architects works with residential and commercial project teams to design, implement, field verify and market high-performance buildings. Our company is proficient in the LEED Green Building Rating System, as well as Energy Star, Builders Challenge, and various above-code programs sponsored by federal, state or local governments.

Founded in 1982 by Debra and Chip Henderson, the firm transitioned from a traditional architecture-design firm to a design-build delivery approach in 1989 and assumed full responsibility for both the design and construction aspects of a project. In 2004, the firm became an EPA ENERGY STAR Provider working with builders to improve residential energy performance. Then in 2005, the USGBC selected Contects, along with eleven other firms around the nation, to mentor the LEED for Homes Green Rating System through pilot development phase. Today, as a building performance consulting firm, Contects works with residential and commercial project teams to effectively communicate the goals and values represented by sustainable development to their staff, consultants, contractors, and the marketplace.
