“Building sustainable structures is simply the right thing to do — right for the environment and right for business.”

  • 400-plus LEED professionals

  • $4 billion: Value of LEED projects over last five years

  • 2 Net-Zero Energy- and LEED Platinum- Certified Projects (2 largest in the world to date)

“A proven track record of being environmentally responsible in the way we do business” is one of DPR Construction’s long-term goals.

As a result, the forward-thinking national commercial general contractor and construction manager continues to drive sustainability throughout its business and the industry, including:

  • Delivering award-winning projects for world-class customers, including ENR’s Best of the Best Green Building in the nation two years in a row for the Facebook Prineville, OR data center (2011) and the David and Lucile Packard Foundation Headquarters in Los Altos, CA (2012).
  • Comprehensive training in sustainability (currently more than 800 employees across the nation have completed DPR green courses).
  • Building its own offices as high-performing living laboratories for sustainable construction, including two LEED Platinum, Net Zero Energy offices in Phoenix and San Diego.
  • An active member of the U.S. Green Building Council since 1999, DPR ’s Sacramento office location was the first privately owned office building in California’s Central Valley to achieve LEED certification and received the California Governor’s Environmental and Economic Leadership Award.

Since then, DPR has accomplished a number of “firsts” in sustainable construction:

  • Arizona State University Polytechnic Academic Complex won ENR’s first-ever Best of the Best in Green Building Award in 2008.
  • The Michael J. Homer Science and Student Life Center project for Sacred Heart Schools was the first to achieve LEED Platinum for Schools certification.
  • Digital Realty Trust’s Comstock Web Hosting Facility was the first LEED-Platinum certified data center in California and second in the nation.
  • DPR’s San Diego office was the first commercial building to achieve both LEED-NC Platinum certification and net-zero energy status in San Diego.
  • DPR’s Phoenix office was the largest building in the world to achieve Net-Zero Energy Building certification from the International Living Future Institute. The project was unseated by the David and Lucile Packard Foundation Headquarters (also built by DPR).
  • With the purpose of building great things, DPR is consistently ranked in the top 50 general contractors in the country. The forward-thinking builder has more than 3,000 employees across the nation and specializes in technically challenging and sustainable projects of all sizes and complexities.
