We manufacture one of the most energy-efficient and highly durable solid-state lighting material available in the industry. A truly special light that suits a myriad of applications in the signage, safety, transportation, and military segments.
Light Emitting Ceramic Device ("LECD") is the latest breakthrough in solid-state lighting technology. Made of electro-ceramescent materials, these lamps offer exclusive characteristics not seen in any other electric light source.
LECD produces a soft, non-obtrusive green glow and consumes extremely low levels of energy, costing only pennies a year to operate. It is very durable (6+ years), virtually maintenance free, and does not generate heat, keeping it cool to the touch. LECD panels are thinner than cardboard and homogeneously emit a light that is highly perceptible by the human eye. It is an efficient light source for signage, courtesy lighting, instrumentation backlighting, and architectural illumination, because it can be beamed directly without excessive use of power.
The technology came as a result of several years of research with the US Department of Energy, Marshall University, New York State College of Ceramics, Osram-Sylvania, and private investors. It has been used by the US military, WV State Parks, and the FAA since 2006. These credentials confirm its durability and acceptance in the most demanding environments. Made in the USA.
