Ethical Electric

Ethical Electric is an energy company that does good. We power as many American homes and businesses as possible with 100% clean energy from renewable sources like wind and solar. We use our profits to fund causes that benefit our planet and advance equality, peace, justice and opportunity.

Ethical Electric sells clean energy from wind farms and solar farms. We do not sell energy from coal, natural gas, nuclear or oil. There is a simple rule for us: if you burn it, it isn’t clean.
We also apply two additional screens to the clean energy that we buy.
• Local. Our energy must be as local as possible. Ideally, the clean energy facility is within 200 miles of our customer’s home, if not closer.
• New. We work to buy as much of our clean energy as possible from wind farms and solar farms that have been built within the last few years. Unlike established wind farms, these new facilities need buyers in order to stay in business.

By making these choices regarding our clean energy, we are able to be as effective as possible with our members’ money.
Our members use electricity as normal. Instead of it being delivered to them by their legacy utility provider and dirty energy sources, we provide the utilities with clean, renewable power. Ethical Electric members are responsible for adding more wind and solar power to the grid and reducing our dependence on fossil fuels.
