ICMQ (Istituto di Certificazione e Marchio di Qualità for products and services in the construction sector), is a non-profit association registered and existing under the laws of Italy since 1988, pursuing a policy aimed at the raising of the quality of the organizations and to meeting the needs and expectations of the market. ICMQ has been the first Italian certification body operating in the construction and building sector. It has worked at first directly and then, in 2001, through the company ICMQ Spa. ICMQ, leader in the products and services certification for the construction, i is a promoting partner of Green Building Council (GBC) Italia, association born in 2008 for the promotion and the spread of the sustainability in building sector and the development of tools as the scheme of voluntary certification LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design). It offers technical services and procedural assistance with a view to help the clients to put in place all that is necessary to obtain the LEED certification of their buildings. LEED services are carried out by experienced LEED AP (Accredited Professional) and high-level LEED experts. It's accredited according with the standards UNI CEI EN 45011, and UNI CEI EN ISO/IEC 17020 and 17021. It's accredited by the Ecolabel – Ecoaudit Committee for the validation of the Environmental Declaration with reference to the Rule EMAS III (Rule EC 1221/09). Moreover ICMQ curries out, under accreditation, the activities of verification and validation of Environmental Product Declaration. ICMQ has realized a voluntary certification scheme of sustainable product, ICMQ ECO, which assures, through periodical controls on the product and on the production processes, that all the production is in compliance with the declaration of the producer.
