We are established and well-respected Washington, DC area architects. Founded in 1990, OTJ Architects has successfully completed thousands of projects in the DC metropolitan area. As responsive interior architecture & architecture consultants, we create great work environments through listening, understanding, and effective design. OTJ is registered in 37 states and is able to consult in all 50 states. The responsive architecture and interior architecture consultants create effective environments through listening, understanding and tailored design.

OTJ is committed to promoting sustainability and cost-effective designs
wherever possible to help clients achieve efficient facilities that better
serve the environment and their employees. Each studio at OTJ has LEED
Accredited Professionals who can guide clients through the LEED certification
process. LEED-certified space slower operating costs, conserve resources and
reduce carbon emissions and energy consumption.
OTJ understands that while clients may initially strive for LEED
certification, the cost implications may deter this goal. We are experienced
with coming up with creative ways to implement sustainable aspects in our
projects. Regardless of whether or not our clients pursue formal LEED
certification, we welcome the chance to fulfill this desire to integrate
sustainable elements into the design. These elements can become great talking
points and morale boosters to share with staff and clients.
More than half of our architects and designers are LEED Accredited
Professionals, so they are well versed in all design and reporting
requirements.
OTJ will uphold the highest standards for your project as exemplified in our
design for American Legacy Foundation (LEED-NC Gold), which won the AIA
Presidential Citation for Sustainable Design in 2008; National Parks
Conservation Association (LEED-CI Gold); and Winrock International (LEED-CI Gold).
