Steven Winter Associates, Inc. (SWA) is a 100-person firm with offices in Norwalk, CT, New York City, and Washington D.C. Our involvement with the green building movement can be traced back 15 years to company founder and President Steven Winter's service as Chairman of the U.S. Green Building Council from 1999 to 2003, during which time he oversaw the launch of the original LEED Rating System. Today SWA practices in every aspect of LEED certification, including the LEED for Homes rating system. SWA is the largest LEED for Homes Provider in the Northeast with over 3,500 certified homes in 10 states and 10 accredited LEED Green Raters plus numerous HERS Raters, energy modelers, and commissioning agents on staff. We work throughout the Northeast, into Indiana and Ohio, and even internationally to support teams seeking high performance buildings and recognition for their contributions to a more sustainable built environment.
