Sustainable Solutions provides today’s construction professionals with the tools and skills necessary to succeed in the green building industry. From design charrettes and formulation of a project’s green goals to practical hands-on training for subcontractors and suppliers, a specific training program can be developed for all aspects of sustainability. For more in-depth applications, Sustainable Solutions offers mentoring and consulting services, as well as preliminary project planning and implementation, documentation, and certification services for all of your sustainable construction needs.

Sarah Andrews has worked in the construction industry for more than 18 years accruing experience in civil and vertical commercial construction, project management, estimating, construction and mine safety, adult education, and sustainable construction.

Sarah graduated from UT Austin in 1983 with a Bachelor of Music in Education and spent the next 10 years teaching junior and senior high school students. Following her departure from public education she entered the construction field working as a Construction Safety Officer, construction estimator and project manager. After joining the team at Solis Constructors in 2007, she became the resident green building subject matter expert after attaining her LEED AP credentials. Sarah has made presentations sponsored by the US Hispanic Contractors Association de Austin, the City of Austin, Build Expo, AGC Austin Chapter, and ABC Central Texas Chapter on topics of interest to local contractors. In 2012, Sarah was selected to join the prestigious USGBC Faculty.

Sarah is a member of the USGBC Central Texas-Balcones Chapter and currently serves as the LEED Education Coordinator for the Austin area.
