The mission of USGBC NC is to transform the way buildings and communities are designed, built and operated, enabling an environmentally and socially responsible, healthy, and prosperous environment that improves the quality of life.

Primarily the North Carolina Chapter intends to accomplish its mission
through leadership and coalition building with public and private sector
entities and residents as a whole – fostering collaboration with key
stakeholders in the community to accelerate the adoption of green practices,
policies and programs. Partnering with the city and county governments,
educational facilities, public agencies, the private sector, and non-profit
groups, the statewide chapter will provide education, information, technical
assistance and training.
The USGBC NC has three active branches that represent all 100 counties in the state.
*Charlotte Region
*Piedmont Triad
Each branch hosts monthly programs ranging from education and community service to advocacy. All those interested in participating with the USGBC NC are welcome. Please visit to find your place in this organization.
