Alex joined the USGBC in March 2012. Before becoming a member of LEED Technical Customer Service team, he was the primary on-the-ground representative for the USGBC, based in Shanghai, China. He served as the membership liaison, worked with LEED International Program team to develop LEED ACPs for greater China market, Performed or gave talks at LEED/WELL trainings or seminars, helped review the translation of LEED materials and professional exam questions, and supported Business Development team.
Prior to joining USGBC, Alex worked as a LEED consulting manager in Taiwan with experience of Hi – Tech industrial plant projects, and as deputy chief engineer in the China Academy of Building Research in China with experiences of 3-Star certification and eco-city index development. He has also worked in China and in Canada in the field of architecture design for 15 years. Alex, a LEED AP BD+C, has an undergraduate degree in Architecture and earned a master’s degree in engineering (building science) from Concordia University in Canada. He speaks fluent Mandarin, Cantonese, and English.
