Alison Kendall, LEED AP BD+C, is an architect and planner specializing in
sustainable architecture and urban design. She is Principal Architect and
Planner at Kendall Planning + Design, a DBE/WBE/SBE firm founded in 1996
which provides architecture, urban design, planning and community
participation services throughout California. Among the firms specialties are
pedestrian and bicycle planning, including complete streets design for all
users, open space and school and campus design and planning. Ms Kendall has advised USGBC on Pedestrian Access on LEED v12 and LEED ND and
served on the Education Review Committee.
As a California licensed Architect and green building expert, Alison has assisted homeowners, schools, campuses and non-profit property owners to renovate existing buildings while making them more energy, water and resource efficient.
She is a Green Point Rater for Existing and New Multifamily and Single Family Homes with the California green building organization
Build It Green, a BPI Building Analyst, and has taught homeowner seminars on Energy Efficiency and
Ms Kendall has taught sustainable design and planning in the US at UC
Berkeley and the University of Southern California. She has also taught sustainable architecture and planning in French in Montpellier France at l'Ecole
Nationale Superieure d'Architecture de Montpellier and energy efficiency
auditing to engineers at l'Institut Universitaire de Technologie.
