I graduated the University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture. Throughout college, I worked in various hands-on fields including: telecommunications installation/de-installation, construction, asset management, relocation services and multifamily maintenance. Between semesters, my senior year, I spent time working with the Building Community (BC) workshop, in Dallas. The BCworkshop is a local nonprofit dedicated to social.economic.sustainable.design, my time with the organization was spent working on a housing project in south Dallas named, Congo St. It is here that I developed a passion, for not only, sustainable design, but the relationships, in which, they flourish. Upon completion of my Americore internship, I quickly joined up with TexEnergy Solutions, to gain a better understanding of just how to make sustainable design deliver, at a larger scale, to design teams with budget and design restrictions. It is here, I continue to work, learn and develop a better understanding on how to design for a more sustainable tomorrow.
