Hello world

Brian Stone is passionate about customer service, architectural design, green
building and homes built with long lasting quality. He started designing
homes and making three-dimensional drawings and models when he was a young
kid. When he was a little older, he started working with a hammer and saw,
building tree forts and backyard play homes. Later, after college, he
remodeled bathrooms and kitchens, built decks, designed and installed custom
built-ins, installed custom interior trims, replaced doors, exterior trims
and windows and remodeled high end gourmet restaurants. He learned the right
way to build -- hands-on. Brian also worked in the high-end design/build
industry in the Washington, DC metro area as an architectural designer,
on-site supervisor, lead carpenter, project manager, estimator and
specifications writer creating custom homes, additions and remodels. Prior to
that he worked in New York City and Chicago. Brian was born and raised in the
Washington, DC metro area and graduated from the University of Maryland in
1990 with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture. Brian started CornerStone
Partners Design Build and it's predecessor, BAStone Construction, in 1995. He
started his design company, A Visual Dialogue, in the summer of 1989. His handyman division, Maryland Green Handyman, provides home repair and upgrade services. He is married to Tiffany and has two wonderful sons, Dillon and Braedon. His interests include gardening, pursuing organic/locally-grown foods, building with his sons, camping, hiking, canoeing, green building, drawing, great espresso, going to the beach and spending time with his family. Brian holds the LEED AP Homes credential and has worked on designing and building two LEED homes, one LEED Gold and one LEED Platinum in the Washington, DC metro area. He has designed more than fifty major custom remodels/additions/ homes most of which have been built and are being enjoyed by families today. Brian enjoys working with his clients to help them visualize the concept of what their new home can be. He also really enjoys bringing the concept to reality through the construction process...
