Carlie Bullock-Jones is the founder and managing Principal of Ecoworks Studio and has dedicated her entire career to bringing about a greener, healthier built environment. As a nationally known expert in sustainability and LEED consulting, Carlie has taken numerous award-winning projects from start to finish, achieving high levels of LEED certification through the integrative design and construction process.

As a USGBC Faculty™ mentor for the U.S. Green Building Council, Carlie is a highly sought-after speaker and writer for national events and publications. Over the past thirteen years, Carlie has made teaching one of her primary focuses, training and inspiring thousands of individuals worldwide. Carlie is always willing to share her enthusiasm and technical knowledge with other educators. USGBC Facutly are the official instructors for USGBC's instructor-led workshops working with USGBC's education delivery Partners. Carlie is authorized to teach the following instructor-led workshops:

  • LEED 101: Green Building Basics and LEED
  • LEED 201: Core Concepts and Strategies
  • Retail 251: Understanding the LEED for Retail Rating Systems
  • Healthcare 251: Understanding the LEED for Healthcare Rating System
  • BDC 251: Understanding the BDC LEED Rating Systems
  • BDC 301: Implementing the BDC LEED Rating Systems
  • IDC 301: Implementing the IDC LEED Rating Systems
  • Carlie has been extensively involved in the development of LEED standards over the years, serving as a Subject Matter Expert for USGBC and GBCI, assisting in course curriculum, exam development and reference guide creation. Nationally, Carlie has served on the USGBC LEED for Commercial Interiors Core Committee (2005 to 2007), LEED Curriculum Committee (2005 to 2009), USGBC Education Review Committee (2009 to 2011), LEED Pilot Credit Library Working Group (2009 to present) and GBCI Continuing Education Advisory Group (2011 to present). Carlie has also helped to engage industry peers in green building at the local level, taking on leadership positions on the USGBC Atlanta Branch and 2010 Chair of the USGBC Georgia Chapter Board of Directors. Her work in the state of Georgia led to recognition in 2011 as a “USGBC Above and Beyond Volunteer” for the USGBC Georgia Chapter.

    Outside of USGBC and GBCI, Carlie has been active in multiple organizations, including the Auburn University Dean’s Council for the College of Architecture, Design and Construction, ASID Georgia Chapter Board of Directors, ASID National Sustainable Design Council, and the National Academy of Environmental Design.
