Clare joined USGBC in June of 2008. In her role on the Residential Market Development team, she focuses on the customer's experience while participating in the LEED for Homes program. She also specializes in the affordable housing market sector within the residential industry. She serves as a steering committee member of the Green Affordable Housing Coalition, a leader in the Public Housing Authorities Sustainability Network and a member of the Green Rental Housing Task Force for Fannie Mae.
As Senior Manager, Green Strategies, Clare is responsible for leading, managing, and implementing a healthy, sustainable business practice designation in the NeighborWorks America network of 250 organizations, and recruiting two-thirds of the network to achieve this designation that covers real estate development, home buyer education services, and community-based programs to low- and moderate-income communities.
Prior to joining NeighborWorks America, Clare was the Manager, Residential Market Development at the US Green Building Council. Before joining USGBC, Clare worked at a Cambridge, MA-based architecture firm as a project and contract administrator. Clare earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Richmond.
