Community Volunteer Specialist, USGBC
Colin White is the Community Volunteer Specialist at USGBC - directly
supporting the thousands of volunteers who annually give more than 500,000
volunteer hours to the green building movement.
Prior to USGBC, Colin White worked extensively in the public sector. He
previously managed the Pittsburgh office of LIFT and was a Coro Fellow in
Public Affairs. At LIFT, Colin directed a social service agency staffed by
volunteers dedicated to serving low-income families. During this time, Colin
trained and managed seventy volunteers who provided free case management
services to over eight hundred families. Through the Coro Center for Civic
Leadership, Colin provided consulting services to a variety of organizations
in the non-profit, governmental, and private sector.
Colin earned his B.A. from Duquesne University and his M.S. in Public Policy
and Management from Carnegie Mellon University. He enjoys good games of
tennis and backgammon.
