Hello world

Craighton Ellingsworth

  • AP-BDC Certified

LEED AP BD&C, PMP and Program Manager with over 15 years of project
management experience and creating operational excellence and always making
sure projects are done on time and under budget. My experience comes in a
variety of industries, including: green roof & green wall construction and
plantings, data center high value customer build-outs and implementations but
all my work has lead towards my current career focus on sustainability and
teaching and contributing to environmental stewardship in our region.

I am a firm believer in the triple bottom line business paradigm and have
guided my career based on these principals. I am most interested in
sustainable building practices and the design and construction of sustainable
sites, and integrating green roofs and green walls into the overall designs
of the buildings so that these items aren't "add-on's", but integrated
components of the building that actively contribute to each structure's lower
environmental impact.

My involvement with the US Green Building Council's National Capital Region
has been particularly rewarding endeavor for me. Currently, I am a member of
the 2015 GreenBuild Host Committee's Legacy Project and our creation of a new
outdoor learning center at the Capital Area Food Bank in NE Washington, DC.
Our project recently received the 2015 Malcolm Lewis IMPACT! award.
