Dana Kose

Dana Kose, LEED® AP BD+C, LEED USGBCTM, has been in the construction field for 14 years. As Program Manager at The Weidt Group, she oversees the firm’s consulting for Xcel Energy’s Energy Design Assistance and Black Hills Energy’s Commercial New Construction programs in Colorado. Dana also establishes collaborations with project teams to meet sustainable design objectives and manages the comparative analysis consulting to help design teams understand the energy and environmental implications of various design options.

Dana Kose, LEED® AP BD+C, LEED USGBCTM, has over 15 years of experience
managing the implementation of Energy Design Assistance services for key
clients in the area of high-performance buildings. As Project Executive, she
is responsible for building market position by establishing relationships
with key clients. Since joining The Weidt Group in 2009, she has been
managing projects totaling more than three million square feet. Before
joining The Weidt Group, Dana was the Director of Sustainability for
Universal Development Company, where she performed sustainability consulting
and was responsible for managing the company’s sustainability practices.
Prior to that, she managed the green practices and LEED efforts of Mortenson
Construction. She has also performed estimating, scheduling, and project
engineering in addition to business development.

Ms. Kose has been extremely involved with the U.S. Green Building Council
(USGBC). She served as Chair of USGBC’s Education Steering Committee, Chair of the USGBC-Colorado Chapter, Co-chair of USGBC's West Region Committee and a member of the USGBC Chapter Steering Committee as well as the USGBC CO Regionalization Task Force. Ms. Kose also served on the Board of the Denver Architectural Foundation and the AIA Colorado Chapter.

As USGBC Faculty, Ms. Kose frequently speaks about improving energy efficiency of new and existing buildings. USGBC Faculty is a global network of credible, qualified instructors, teachers and facilitators with deep expertise in and passion for sustainability that cuts across sectors, cultures and geographies.
