Daniel M. Salzman is a design and media entrepreneur, with an emphasis on
sustainable practices. He began designing and developing spec and custom
homes in the Beach Cities in 2004, and felt compelled to find new and better
ways to build, eventually founding a practice dedicated to green-building in
2007. Evergreen Design Build, Inc., has grown into one of the leading
developers of high-end, eco residential homes in the Los Angeles area, with
clients from Malibu to the South Bay. Mr. Salzman also saw a glaring need in
the marketplace for a green building products showroom, opening the doors to
the South Bay Green Design Center, which services homeowners, interior
designers, architects, contractors, and developers.

Mr. Salzman developed the first LEED-certified home in Manhattan Beach in
2009, which was a community showcase house. Mr. Salzman spearheaded the
design and remodeling of Manhattan Beach’s Congregation Tikvat Jacob, one
of the first green synagogues in the LA area. He is a U.S. Green Building
Council member, a LEED for Homes Accredited Professional, and has worked as a subject matter volunteer for the Green Building Certification Institute, the non-profit
that manages all aspects the LEED AP Program. Salzman was a twice a finalist
for the Bank of Manhattan Environmental Entrepreneur of the Year. He was also
a member of the Manhattan Beach Environmental Task Force, . Mr, Salzman
regularly speaks to civic groups, design forums, and students about eco
practices.

Involvement
