LEED Specialist, U.S. Green Building Council
I worked for 25 years in an ifrastructure engineering firm, serving municipal, state, and federal government units in the areas of water and wastewater management and solid waste management. I had a small private practice in LEED project consulting and training. I was also the part-time executive director of the central Pennsylvania chapter of USGBC. I have guided projects to certification in New Construction and EBO&M.
Prior to joining USGBC as an employee in 2012 I was active in several committees and working groups, including WE TAG (chaired from 2004 to 2008), LEED Steering Committee, and LEED Implementation Advisory Committee (chaired from 2009 to 2011). I also worked on task groups to review and refine LEED 2009 and v4.
My avocations include bicycling, back packing, and caring for a 19th Century townhouse in the Carlisle historic district that my wife and I occupy.
My educational background is in civil engineering - BS, MS and PhD. I am a registered professional engineer in PA and a LEED AP (BD&C).
