Doug Gatlin

Doug Gatlin is responsible for the development and delivery of USGBC’s LEED programs, including: the next version of USGBC’s flagship program, LEED v4; the LEED Volume Program; and LEED Campus guidance and key space type adaptations. For the build-out of LEED v4, Doug heads a cross departmental team which includes credit development, education, submittals, marketing and technology.

As Senior Vice President for Market Transformation and Development,
Doug is responsible for expanding the US market for LEED and other USGBC and GBCI programs and for providing comprehensive user support for USGBC member companies. Throughout his tenure Doug has been committed to the user experience. He has previously led the GBCI Certification and Credentialing teams, and before that served as Vice President in the LEED department where he led the development and launch of LEED v4, LEED Volume, and the launch of LEED EB:O&M in 2008.

Doug has spent most of his career developing market transformation initiatives.
Prior to joining USGBC he worked for nearly 10 years with the U.S. EPA's
ENERGY STAR Buildings, and before that was a program manager at the
Washington, DC based Climate Institute.

Doug holds a Bachelor’s in Political Science from Duke and a Master’s in
Public Policy from Georgetown.
