Hello world

Dror Karni

Washington, DC

As Senior Director, Market Transformation and Development at the U.S. Green
Building Council (USGBC), I work to propel our suite of products and services
into the global market, the built environment and the lives of our supporters
and beyond. I work to develop our product & service strategies and our
business development plans as we expand our presence in global markets.

Currently, I lead our global EDGE program. EDGE is a green building
certification system for new residential and commercial buildings in emerging
market countries. An innovation of the International Finance Corporation
(IFC), a member of the World Bank Group, EDGE empowers developers and
builders to quickly evaluate and compare estimated costs for design strategies targeting reductions in energy use, water use, and embodied energy in materials. As a global certification partner, GBCI administers EDGE certification in over 120 countries around the world.

I joined USGBC in January 2012 with more than 11 years of “big five”
management consulting experience, most recently as a Manager with Deloitte
Consulting and PricewaterhouseCoopers. My consulting experience includes
managing multiple project teams on large organizational transformation,
strategy development, technology adoption, and business process reengineering
efforts. In my spare time, I enjoy technology, art, design, fitness,
and travel.
