Hello world

I’m a sustainable development enthusiast with a mission to help transform the
built environment. I teach, learn, and develop curriculum about sustainable
design and development topics such as the LEED rating systems, corporate and
federal sustainability, low impact development, net-zero energy buildings and
green roofs. I’m fascinated by resilient design, scalability, experiential
learning, and climate change adaptation. I spend as much time as possible in
my backyard of the San Juan Mountains and my goal is to channel this passion
and respect for the outdoors into the tangible work of helping build better
buildings and communities.
My professional background is a hybrid of policy and technical work including
the following highlights of past and present projects:
-Instructor and course developer for LEED and sustainability-related
curriculum
-Project Administrator on the first LEED for EBOM project in New Mexico
-Contributor to sustainability components of campus planning documents and
federal Guiding Principles for Sustainable Existing Buildings
-LEED Project Facilitator
-Design and installation assistance on the UNM SAP green roof
-Assistance with administration of the “Green Zia Environmental
Excellence” state recognition program
-Co-founder of the New Mexico Emerging Green Builders Chapter
