Associate, Policy & Advocacy, U.S. Green Building Council
Fleming Roberts, a LEED Green Associate, has been a key member of USGBC’s Advocacy team since 2012, overseeing a variety of functions to advance green building policy and advocacy initiatives. Fleming manages external stakeholder relations, interdepartmental projects, and strategic planning and communications for the department.
Prior to joining the USGBC family, Fleming worked as a Communications Specialist at the Department of Energy's Building Technology Office, where she helped communicate success stories in the areas of emerging technologies, building codes, appliance standards, and more. She was also a member of the Policy Management Unit at Immigration and Customs Enforcement, where she helped to develop policies and launch a policy database.
Before her professional career began in Washington, D.C., Fleming attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she received a B.A. in Political Science. She volunteers at the DC Rape Crisis Center and Miriam’s Kitchen, and is a regular contender at USGBC’s Annual Greenbake competition.
