As Director of Sustainability, my role is to develop and implement a consistent plan to reach my company’s sustainability goals.
Understanding key priorities for our clients and challenges at job sites, I believe in developing a 360º approach for each project; from effective preconstruction planning, inclusive of subcontractors and suppliers to implementation of efficient construction methods. My commitment to Clark’s cohesive approach ensures that sustainability extends well beyond observing established green rating systems. It’s a philosophy that has been fully integrated throughout Clark operations, both on the jobsite and in the office. I gave critical focus to developing core Clark professionals who proactively implement sustainable construction methods on their jobsites, and educate subcontractor partners as a daily best practice.
Prior to leading sustainability efforts, I gained operational experience as a Project Manager and financial background as a Preconstruction Manager.
I am a board member of USGBC National Capital Chapter and Bethesda Green and a committee member at Environmental Forum of The Associated General Contractors of America. I also serve as a voting member for the DCRA Green Technical Advisory Group with a task to draft District of Columbia's first green codes. I have been a speaker at various conferences, organizations and colleges, such as Federal EcoBuild, Arch Expo, IIDA, VSBN, the Johns Hopkins University, University of Maryland and The Catholic University of America.
