Green Building Policy Associate, U.S. Green Building Council
Grant Olear is a graduate of the University of Vermont where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies with a special focus on sustainable development and international policy. After graduating, Grant worked in the construction industry where he gained hands-on experience in the built environment. While working construction he gained a better understanding of how contractors and developers address and solve problems. He currently works on a variety of projects for the Advocacy team at USGBC, including the preparation of Green Building City Market Briefs, a partnership project between USGBC and C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group; coordination of USGBC’s Southeast Regional Advocacy Committee; inputting and managing policies in USGBC’s policy database; and many other projects.
