Issam Srour is an assistant professor in engineering management at the American University of Beirut (AUB). His teaching and research portfolio encompasses several facets of sustainable construction including construction waste minimization, demolition waste management, lifecycle assessment, and energy efficiency of building and infrastructure facilities. Before joining AUB, Dr. Srour served as a project analyst with Independent Project Analysis (IPA) Inc., a US-based research and consulting company, where he specialized in the evaluation of multi-billion dollar industrial construction projects. Dr. Srour earned a Ph.D. in Construction Engineering and Project Management (2005) and an M.S. degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin (2001). He also holds a B.E. degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the American University of Beirut (1999). Dr. Srour has published several articles in academic journals and is a licensed professional engineer in Lebanon.
