Jane Baxter Lynn, principal at JBL Strategies, is an experienced strategic
planner, facilitator and communications specialist. She has spent three
decades in global, national and regional communications, marketing and
non-profit management, and has a wide-ranging network to match.
Based in Austin, Texas, Jane has worked in Belgium, France, South Africa and
the United States, with responsibility for other regions of the world. Her
career has included working for Fortune 500 companies, industry and
non-profit associations, quasi-government organizations, and as a strategic
business consultant. Her primary industries are travel & tourism, wine, arts
and green building and sustainable development. Non-profit management,
sustainability, and mentoring organizations and individuals are her passion.
Her success has been in creating and implementing strategies to achieve a
competitive advantage for her clients' businesses. She has gained a solid
reputation for providing effective strategic counsel; developing
results-oriented solutions, and bringing together diverse groups to achieve
common goals, particularly in the non-profit arena.
Jane has extensive experience in brand development and positioning. She was
responsible for the launch of the Green Globe certification system for the
global travel & tourism industry; obtaining the first trademark to be awarded
to a U.S. wine region, and she directed the development of the Washington
Wine Industry’s first brand campaign.
Most recently, Jane served for three years as the U.S. Green Building Council
Central Texas-Balcones Chapter’s first Executive Director and is now a
Chapter Advisory Council member and member of USGBC's Texas State Advocacy committee. She is also on the Advisory Council for the Wine & Food Foundation of Texas; is an active member of the Women Communicators of Austinr’s Career Services Committee, and serves on the Association for Wormen in Communications Marketing & Communications Committee, having previously served on the National Board.
Jane provides clients with a senior level advisory resource, focused on
strategic visioning and planning, operational excellence, business
development and clarity of positioning and messaging within the context of
their overall strategic plan. When necessary, she facilitates the strategic
planning process and helps consolidate future strategies and goals.
