Jodi Smits Anderson
Past (2012) NY Upstate Chapter Chair, CSC and the Director, Sustainability Programs, Dormitory Authority State of New York
[email protected]
Jodi is a seeker of balance in triple bottom line visioning, planning and
implementation. She is an architect trained at RPI and with many firms in the
capital region of New York State and has served as designer, project manager
and construction liaison for churches, schools, and community projects.
As a Director in state government she gets to work on policy planning, rules
for established green building laws and mind shift/education of state staff.
As Chapter volunteer and CSC member, she gets to communicate and advocate for the
needs of the individual members moving our mission forward so beautifully.
She loves her circa 1922 house in Albany, NY, which she and her family are
slowly greening up, hiking, kayaking, biking and the occational run as well
as knitting, singing, acting and directing, painting and crafting jewelry.
She is obviously a Gemini.
She is blessed with an exceptional husband, Maarten, who "gets" green in his
uber-tech geek mind, and her amazing son Erik who, at age ten, is connected
with his whole environment, built and natural.

we may as well dance.
3) Opportunity is avoided by most people because it is dressed in overalls
and looks like work.
