The reason I practice design is to create healthy and positive experiences for the people inhabiting educational institutions, work places and public spaces. It also allows me the opportunity to collaborate with intelligent and creative individuals, both colleagues and clients, which results in innovative and relevant design and management solutions. My belief is that design is not about style. The award winning designs I have accomplished reflect the ideal that clarity in organization and function combined with a regenerative design strategy lead to the creation of a high- performance environment.
I have served as a market sector leader for the corporate/commercial/civic practice as well as the director of the interior design discipline for a 1500 person, international design firm. In addition to studio management and design leadership, my responsibilities have included nurturing existing accounts as well as pursuing new business opportunities. Throughout my career I have developed and led effective and creative teams of architects and interior designers while upholding the highest standards of design excellence. This was performed in concert with sound management of the resources under my responsibility.
