John has participated in design or analysis efforts at numerous universities, airports, urban districts, manufacturing facilities, healthcare districts, and research campuses, specializing in thermal utilities. He has also spent significant field time at coal-fired steam electric stations, designing and monitoring the construction of various emissions-systems upgrades, and he has experience with LEED consulting. He enjoys photography, cycling, camping, and volunteering in the community. John is a current MBA student at The University of Texas at Austin, McCombs School of Business.
John previously served as the USGBC Emerging Professionals Regional Chair for the South-Central Region, which includes Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana. During his tenure, this region consistently experienced some of the largest increases in EP membership of any region in the country.
