I have the distinction to be among a few LEED AP's who have managed the certification process to achieve LEED PLATINUM. I managed the certification process for the LEED Platinum DART Police Headquarters. I was instrumental in guiding, coordinating and managing the interiors architect, contractor, commissioning agent, client, historic preservation consultant, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineers to achieve LEED PLATINUM Certification. I was also responsible for the technical accuracy and quality of the LEED documentation. I developed, documented, and submitted a total of 46 credits to the Green Building Certification Institute for review. My attention to detail and technical knowledge earned all 46 credit points without having to go through the "appeals process." I enjoy designing, identifying and implementing sustainable strategies in ground up construction and tenant improvement projects. Key strategies I like to implement in sustainable projects include: LEED Certification Management, Energy Efficiency & High Performance Design, Carbon Management, Innovations in Technology, and Sustainable Corporate Initiatives. I hold two LEED accreditations to provide sustainable building design services in new construction, interior renovations, and existing buildings. I provide project teams with current LEED standards and technical support throughout all phases of the building design process. I am up-to-date on the upcoming changes to the LEED v4 and have been participaitng in its development. My professional experience includes working on energy efficient & high performance projects applying knowledge of sustainable design, construction procedures, zoning, green codes and building materials. Last, I am an education reviewer & auditor with the U.S. Green Building Council’s Education Review Department. I am responsible for maintaining the education quality of sustainability course content under development by USGBC Education Providers for the Credential Maintenance Program.
