Kris Wilson began working with USGBC in 2013. He transitioned from Program Manager with USGBC Idaho to Project Manager, Community in June 2015. His work focuses on leading green building education programs, and community sustainability and stakeholder engagement projects in Idaho. Montana and Wyoming. Kris brings a broad base of experience in environmental protection and community development to his role.
Early in his career, Kris worked in climate change and ecological research as well as applied water resource protection. In 2010, his career turned to community and economic development with an environmental focus.
Kris graduated summa cum laude with a BA in Biological Resources from the University of Northern Iowa and completed a graduate fellowship in sustainable community development at Utah State University in partnership with Community Rebuilds.
In his free time, Kris enjoys exploring outdoor Idaho.
