Kris Wilson

Kris graduated summa cum laude from the University of Northern Iowa in May
2000 with a bachelors degree in Biological Resources. After being graduated,
Kris worked on climate change research projects with the United States
Geological Survey and the US EPA Western Ecology Division. Upon relocating to
Boise, his work took a more applied focus as he used his skills in process
automation to refine and control industrial and municipal water treatment and
recycling systems. Later, Kris took a position at Idaho Council of
Governments where he administered grant funded projects including energy
efficiency improvements, alternative energy production and economic
revitalization for Idaho communities. Also with Idaho Council of Governments,
Kris managed the Idaho Brownfields Revolving Loan Fund. Shortly before
joining USGBC Idaho, Kris completed a fellowship with Community Rebuilds, an
affordable, sustainable housing organization that builds energy efficient
straw bale homes for low income families. When not at work, Kris enjoys
exploring outdoor Idaho.
