Laura Capps is the Director of Residential Green Building Services at Southface. She holds an undergraduate degree in Sustainable Development from Appalachian State University and a graduate degree in Building Construction and Facility Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Laura Capps is the Director of Residential Green Building Services at Southface. She holds an undergraduate degree in Sustainable Development from Appalachian State University and a graduate degree in Building Construction and Facility Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Laura is certified as a LEED Accredited Professional for Homes, LEED for Homes Green Rater, LEED for Homes QAD, EarthCraft Technical Advisor, RESNET Green Rater, HERS Rater QAD, HERS Rater, Lead RRP contractor, NAHB Research Center Green Building Program Verifier and Certified Green Professional and BPI Building Analyst Professional. Laura serves as faculty for US Green Building Council, RESNET and NeighborWorks Training Institute. At Southface, Laura supports the residential green building programs through training and program development and delivery.

USGBC Faculty are the official instructors of USGBC's instructor-led workshops working with USGBC's education delivery partners. As USGBC Faculty, Laura is authorized to teach the following instructor-led workshops:
