Before joining the US Green Building Council Lauren worked as a designer for AECOM where she spent 7 years leading and contributing on multi-disciplinary teams for a variety of landscape architecture and urban design projects throughout the Pacific Northwest and abroad. Lauren was also the founding Chair of the Cascadia Chapter of the Congress for the New Urbanism, and a board member from 2008 to 2011. Lauren also served a one year term as a Commissioner on the City of Seattle’s Design Commission, advising the Mayor, City Council and City departments on the design of projects and policies that shaped Seattle's public realm. Lauren received a master of landscape architecture from the University of Pennsylvania and has an undergraduate degree in ornamental horticulture and plant biology from the University of Delaware. Lauren recently relocated from Seattle, WA to her hometown of Lancaster, PA. Her free time is spent getting reacquainted with historic downtown Lancaster and hunting for vintage furniture.
