Lindsay Scherr is a Sustainability Services Associate who joined Waste Management in 2012. She is a LEED Green Associate and a member of The Sustainability Consortium. Through her tenure at WM, Lindsay has worked closely with a variety of clients to execute waste diversion and sustainability initiatives focused on maximizing the triple bottom line. Her work has focused largely on commercial properties including hospitality, venues, and facility portfolios. Lindsay is a graduate from the University of Michigan where she completed her M.S. in Natural Resource & Environment with a concentration in Sustainable Systems. While at UM, she focused her coursework on corporate responsibility, systems thinking and industrial ecology (the study of material and energy flow-throughs in industrial and manufacturing systems). Her masters’ project work included an energy assessment of facilities across Yellowstone National Park. Prior to graduate school, Lindsay applied her bachelors in Geology from University of Delaware by working as an environmental consultant performing environmental assessments and remediation activities at manufacturing and industrial facilities across the US.
In her free time Lindsay enjoys running, yoga, cooking and reading a good novel. In the summer, she can found at the pitch, cheering on her husband compete in rugby league. She also enjoys traveling and eating delicious foods while spending quality time with her family and friends.
