USGBC’s Chief Operating Office, Mahesh Ramanujam, brings 16 years of diversified enterprise management experience to his role.
He works to develop, implement and maintain strategic organizational operation plans that align with USGBC’s mission. His areas of expertise include strategic business planning, enterprise business development, customer service, business process optimization, finance, operations, productivity management and organizational design.
Mahesh graduated from India’s Annamalai University with a degree in Computer Engineering. Before becoming COO of USGBC, Mahesh served as USGBC’s Chief Information Officer and oversaw technology, customer service at the Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI). Prior to joining GBCI in 2009, Mahesh was COO of Emergys Corp., a business technology consulting firm that leverages emerging technologies to deliver business transformation to its clients. Over a period of 11 years, Mahesh successfully led various transformation programs at IBM and Lenovo.
