Since 2014, Margo has been driving USGBC’s efforts to cultivate the leadership capabilities of individuals and organizations working to advance sustainability. This includes working with partners to design executive education, as well as customized sustainability leadership content for a variety of audiences. Margo also oversees the USGBC Faculty program, a global network of credible, qualified instructors, teachers and facilitators with deep expertise in and passion for sustainability that cuts across sectors, cultures and geographies.
Previously, Margo spent 7 years working with USGBC's grassroots chapter leaders across the country. Prior to her work at USGBC, Margo lived in Taipei, Taiwan, working as a manager at Hess Educational Organization where she learned the intricacies of intercultural management, taught English to non-native speakers and studied Mandarin Chinese. Prior to that, she served as the Office Manager at the event-driven New Orleans Cultural Center.
Margo's undergraduate degree in organizational psychology, anthropology and business, is from Tulane University in New Orleans and she received her MBA in Organizational Sustainability from the George Washington University in Washington, D.C. She served as a Teaching Fellow for a sustainability leadership course at Harvard University's Extension School from 2014-2016.
