Mark was one of the founding members of the USGBC North Florida Chapter in 2004 and has been a consistent leader within all levels of USGBC ever since. Having served as long-standing North Florida Board Member, Education Chair, and as Chapter Chair several times, Mark now also serves at the USGBC national committee level as Vice Chair of the LEED Advisory Committee and on the LEED Steering Committee.
Mark has been a practicing electrical engineer for more than 22 years, specializing in healthcare design, emergency power systems, sustainability, and commissioning. He led TLC's Jacksonville office for over 10 years, managing numerous noteworthy healthcare and sustainable design projects prior to stepping into his current role as TLC’s Director of Sustainability, where he leads TLC’s corporate wide sustainability efforts, including energy services, commissioning, LEED, and high performance engineering design.
Mark employs a “work hard, play hard” philosophy, so when he’s not working, Mark enjoys running and training for races. Although he has completed three full marathons, he swears “never again” and is content to stick with half-marathons and shorter races. Mark is also a self-proclaimed science fiction nerd will be happy to tell you why Kirk is better than Picard or why Batman is better than Superman.
Mark is originally from Allentown, PA and is a proud alumni of Penn State University with a Bachelors in Architectural Engineering. He currently lives in Jacksonville, FL.
