I graduated from Dunwoody College of Technology having studied in their two year Environmental Systems Design program in 1986. I learned how to design building HVAC, plumbing, and Fire Protection systems. Upon graduation, I immediately began working as a sheet metal estimator for a small mechanical contractor in New Brighton, MN. I had a short stint as a mechanical designer for a small engineering firm in Boston, MA in 1988-1989. Moved back to Minnesota and resumed the position I had left when I moved to Boston. In 1993, I took a mechanical estimating and design position with a large mechanical contractor in St. Paul, MN and stayed there for 16 years until 2009 when I was a casualty of that time's economic downturn. I began working as an estimator for a mid-size mechanical contractor in January 2010, eventually overseeing all their mechanical estimating. In September 2012, I accepted an offer to perform mechanical cost estimating for the company where I'm currently employed, Faithful+Gould in Minneapolis, MN.
